Virginia Theological Seminary Launches New Web Site
Virginia Theological Seminary announced the launch of its new web site, www.vts.edu.
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- Virginia Theological Seminary announced the recent launch of its new web site, www.vts.edu. Designed in collaboration with New Hampshire-based WhippleHill Communications, Inc., the new site captures the broad scope of the Seminarys dynamic new initiatives, while communicating the importance of its ageless mission and core values found woven within its academic programs and community life. A calendar, frequent VTS news stories with accompanying photos, event registration, secure online giving, and a listing of class schedules round out the Seminarys site, creating a smart, centralized, and powerful communication hub for prospective and current students, alumni/ae, and friends of the school.
We are excited about this new initiative," said Ed Hall, the Seminarys vice president for Institutional Advancement. The web site is another way in which VTS is continuing its outreach to alumni and friends in order to make information about the Seminary more accessible, particularly to those who live great distances from Seminary Hill."
In addition to the sites unique front end design, VTS faculty, students, and graduates have been built a secure, password-protected community where they can review, update, and share personal information, search for fellow graduates, and access important documents and resources at the Seminary.
Virginia Theological Seminary is the largest of the 11 accredited seminaries of the Episcopal Church and was founded in 1823. The school prepares men and women, representing more than 40 different dioceses and 9 different countries, for service in the Church, both as ordained and lay ministers, and offers a number of professional degree programs and diplomas.
