Barrie, Ontario (PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- With Valentines Day fast approaching, many couples are caught in the age-old problem of how to celebrate their love without spending a fortune. Malcolm Stephens, co-author of the book "Knowing Me, Knowing You: A Multiple-Choice Quiz For Engaged Couples", offers some innovative new ways to sweep your love off her feet without landing in the red". What makes his approach unusual is that he has written this advice, tongue in cheek, in the style of a spy movie. Each mission" (a.k.a. romantic strategy) is offered to fellow agent operatives. Here is a sample of his advice.
Mission: Operation Valentine"
Equipment:
- 1 Multi-Pack of Children's Valentines
- 1 Red Crepe-Paper Streamer Roll
- 1 White Crepe-Paper Streamer Roll
- 1 Pack of Pink or Red Heart-Shaped Post-it Notes
- 1 Standard Valentine's Card
Objective: Deploy Landmines of Love
This is a night operation with considerable stealth and planning required. Be sure to select a pack of valentines cards with a cute theme. Pokemon or Transforming Robots are not suitable. Cuddly animals or dolls are more appropriate. Early preparation will involve preparing the multi-pack of valentines by putting a short message on each card.
Deploy the valentines, or landmines of love. Imagine how the subject will spend her day. Place the landmines so that she will discover them as she goes through her day. Place them in the toilet paper roll, in her toothbrush holder, in her coffee cup, in the refrigerator or freezer, in her breakfast cereal, in her clothes, shoes and purse, etc. Every few minutes throughout the day, she should be confronted by another explosion of affection.
Stephens has written a number of such missions", which are designed to maximize romance for those who cant afford expensive evenings out or who just want something new and creative. Until now, these articles have been offered as a bonus when a person buys the book "Knowing Me, Knowing You: A Multiple-Choice Quiz For Engaged Couples", which he co-authored with his wife of almost eighteen years. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" reached the Top 100 Bestseller List on Amazon.com on May 28, 2003 shortly after its release and an on-air promotion by Dr. Laura Schlessinger, the well-known syndicated radio personality.
