In this day of uncertainty, war, strife between people and nations, and as we come ever nearer to the LordÂs return, people need to know, without a doubt, that God loves them. They need to know GodÂs love is for real.
The publisher of the new book ÂYes, Jesus Loves Me: 31 Love Stories (Good Word Productions, ISBN, 0-9715353-0-2, $15.95) unveils the stories of 31 women from varied ages, ethnic backgrounds, and religious orientation who share the experiences that brought them into the personal knowledge of GodÂs love. It is a book for anyone who has the desire to know GodÂs love in a more personal and intimate way.
ÂThis collection is the result of divine inspiration and the personal desire, as well as need to reconcile the universal with the personal love of God in my own life, says Kathy Hood Culmer, president of Good Word Productions, publisher of ÂYes Jesus Loves Me.Â
ÂMany of us grow up having at least heard about GodÂs loveÂthat He made us and that He loves us, whether we believe it or not. Some of us may have grown up singing the well-known childrenÂs song: Yes, Jesus Loves Me. We may even know about GodÂs love as it is described in John 3:16, ÂFor God so loved the world that He gave His only Son . I am convinced, however, that it is when we come to know GodÂs love in a personal sense, when we finally get it that, ÂYes, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me, that GodÂs love becomes life-saving and life-changing.Â
In ÂYes Jesus Loves Me Culmer, who is also a professional storyteller, opens a window into the hearts of women who have been touched by Christ along their path. Just a few of the highlights include:
JeanetteÂs Love StoryÂJeanette Clift George, Founder and Artistic Director, Houston-based A.D. Players Christian Theater Co., tells of the unscheduled epiphanyÂone of many interruptions of God in her life while working in theater in New York
JudyÂs Love StoryÂJudy Neptune, Lay Director, Deaf Ministry group, Episcopal Diocese of Texas, began to understand why she mattered to God during a trip to the ocean
Lois Love StoryÂPastor, Teacher, Writer, Storyteller, Artist, Pastoral Assistant at First Baptist Church in Browns Mills, N.J., tells how God healed her deep wounds.
