On January 22, 2005 benefit auctioneer Tom DiNardo of DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers presided over the 12th annual Affair with Flair benefit auction in Greenville, South Carolina. A monumental 286% increase was realized in this year's live auction net proceeds. Last year the benefit auction netted $82,000 versus this year's new record of $235,000 achieved in net proceeds. The live auction featured many hallmark items such as a 2005 Mercedes sedan, and also an amazing vintage 10 case vertical Robert Mondavi wine auction lot. The Affair with Flair has now transitioned from its previous existence as a well known local fundraising event to a completely new identity as a highly recognized regional society gala drawing in many participants from surrounding major cities such Atlanta, GA and Charleston, SC.
