The historic Oxford Hotel in Denver Colorado has teamed with the Colorado Ski Train to offer guests Denver's only ski-in, ski-out lodging.

The Oxford Hotel, a historic jewel in Denver’s Lower Downtown (LoDo) district since 1891, is Denver’s only ski-in, ski-out hotel.

Located directly across the street from Denver's storied Union Train Station, The Oxford is well positioned to offer guests a truly unique Colorado experience. On February 25, guests are invited to ride the famous Winter Park Ski Train through the dramatic peaks of the Colorado Rockies up to Winter Park Resort. Upon disembarking, participants may enjoy a day of skiing, snowboarding or exploring this charming mountain town. By early evening the train will transport guests back to The Oxford, where the Cruise Room serves up Denver’s best martini and dining choices include two award-winning restaurants: McCormick’s Fish House & Bar and Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana. Evening sherry in the lobby and turndown service complete the day on a luxurious note.

“The Oxford Hotel and Ski Train have both been Colorado traditions for many years. This package offers our guests, new and repeat, the opportunity to experience both,” says Ed Blair, General Manager.

While lodging for this package is for Friday, February 25 only, participants may ride the train either Friday or Saturday. The Ski Train Package is available at $199.00 for lodging in one of the Classic Rooms, $209.00 for Art Deco Rooms and $229.00 for Victorian Deluxe Rooms. Package includes room, tax, parking and two seats on the Ski Train. Lift tickets and other activities are not included. Package is based on availability, must be booked by Wednesday, February 16 and is non-refundable.

Guests of the Oxford enjoy a 10% discount at the Oxford Spa & Salon, complimentary access to the Oxford Health Club, 24-hour room service, complimentary Cadillac car service to downtown locations, robes & slippers, nightly turn-down service, morning coffee served on each floor and in the lobby and evening sherry by the fire. The Oxford Hotel is home to McCormick’s Fish House and Bar and the Cruise Room, fashioned after one of the lounges aboard the Queen Mary.

The Oxford was named “Top Hotel, Local” by Rocky Mountain News, Top of the Rocky 2004. Hotel reservations can be obtained by calling (303) 628-5421 or toll free (800) 228-5838 or visit The Oxford Hotel website at http://www.theoxfordhotel.com.
