Announcing the launch of a unique event in Toronto's Little Italy called Qwest. Debuting this Friday, February 11th, Qwest is a monthly dining club and lounge evening hosted at Butt'r Restaurant and Lounge intended to promote diversity and integration by providing an entertainment alternative to queers and their friends outside of the traditional gay village.

Toronto's gay community is quietly re-inventing itself. They want to have children, marry, and now they want to let loose outside of the confines of Church and Wellsley. Qwest - a new dining club and lounge event - held in the heart of Little Italy is one such pioneer. With their monthly event, debuting this Friday, Februay 11th, Qwest promises to be the meeting place for the who's who in Toronto's west end - lesbians, gay men, and heterosexuals alike. In the Queer West Village, "more old-fashioned conceptions of gayness have been exploded, and the result is a wonderfully fluid mix of genders and ethnicities and sexualities", says local community leader Don Quixote. Hosted at the chic Butt'r Restaurant and Lounge (http://www.buttr.ca), the food, drink, and location could not get any better. This new queer district, is quickly overtaking Church Street's gay village as the in-place to socialize.
