Phoenix Review Gives Go Daddy the Green Light
All of the employees that we have randomly called were very pleasant to deal with.
(PRWEB) February 12, 2005 -- Type of services provided: Domain Name registration. Go Daddy has grown to include more than 5.3 million domains. To register a domain is $8.95 for a year, which includes a starter Web page. A five-page Web site costs a competitive $4.95 a month, along with 50GB of server storage space.
Service evaluation (fair): We set up a domain with Go Daddy, and promptly received a call from a customer service representative. When we asked for help in setting up the site, we received a pleasant, but rather close-ended "I am sorry, but we cannot help you with that". All of the employees that we have randomly called were really very pleasant to deal with. However we judge this service evaluation as fair, due to the lack of simplicity to common end user.
Growth potential: From what we can see, there is a lot of competition in this market for web hosting, and domain registration. However, Go Daddy seems to be leading the pack based on their low prices. What we see on the horizon is competition catching up. Is there growth potential? Yes. For how long? Time will tell.
Founded: Founded by Bob Parsons in 1997.
Location(s): Arizona
Field reporters commentary: Go Daddy won the Arizona Corporate Excellence Award for fastest growing privately-held company in 2003 and Most Innovative Large Company in 2004.
Since the airing of the 2005 NFL Super bowl, Go Daddy has received a lot of publicity, both good and bad. It is our opinion (professionally speaking) that Go Daddy once again has attained their goal. What was that, to get people all over the to know who Go Daddy is. For that reason we added an extra star for our rating.
Rating: 4 stars=good
