Music All-Stars Perform in Honor of Brian Wilson

Kicking off Grammy Week, the musical sounds of some of the hottest artists echoed through the halls of the Hollywood Palladium in celebration of Brian Wilson, the 2005 MusiCares Person of the Year. While more than 2,000 attendees recognized Wilsons accomplishments and contributions as a musician, humanitarian, and philanthropist, they also evidenced his musics broad and eclectic appeal. The concert portion of the gala brought Wilsons music to life through an array of artists old and new. Jeff Becks electric guitar was phenomenal on Surfing USA" while Neil Youngs vocals on In My Room" proved hauntingly sweet. Darlene Loves solidly delightful performance on Wouldnt It Be Nice" was nicely juxtaposed by India.Aries rendition of God Only Knows (What Id Be Without You)". Other musical guests highlighting the evenings entertainment included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Backstreet Boys, Barenaked Ladies, Earth Wind & Fire, and many others.

In addition to supporting the MusiCares Foundation, artists performing in the show and celebrity guests visited the backstage gift showroom where they autographed the #32 WINFUEL/TRIMSPA® NASCAR® hood to aid Tsunami relief efforts in Southeast Asia.
