Pantek Forms cAos Partnership

Panteks Team of world class Linux engineers form groundbreaking partnership with the cAos Foundation.

(PRWEB) February 16, 2005 -- Pantek, a NE Ohio company that specializes in Linux based software development, technical support and technical security services, has recently formed a brand new partnership with The cAos Foundation. The cAos Foundation is a new distribution of Linux using the lessons learned from other distributions to start over and make a better solution. Panteks expertise in providing 24/7/365 technical support, software development, system administration, and server security made this affiliation beneficial for both companies.

cAos is structured on a minimalist build environment where we are able to control dependency trees. Most distributions take a different approach, which leads them into a mass of inter-winding dependency trees which makes core customizations very difficult. By keeping the core light and free from unnecessary dependencies, cAos is a unique system which is not only capable of being a very good general purpose distribution, but also something that can be easily tuned and optimized for a particular task. The cAos Foundation is well known in the Linux community", stated Richard Zack, 23 yr. old CEO of Pantek, and we hope to set our mark by collaborating with a cutting-edge business like cAos!"

Pantek is also a member of the exclusive Downtown Tech 25. DT25 is a specialized affiliation of technology companies whose main offices or headquarters are located in Downtown Cleveland. DT25s Mission is to support the economic development initiatives of the City of Cleveland. DT25 is a strong group of ambassadors that will talk through the positive aspects of relocating a technology company to Downtown Cleveland.

I am very excited about the new partnership with cAos" said Zack, we have joined a growing community of open source contributors and users focused on producing enterprise-level, community-produced and managed Linux solutions."

As Pantek grows, so does the city of Cleveland.
