JSF Central Launches 'In the Trenches' Series Covering Real-World JavaServer Faces Development Projects
New Article Series Shows How Companies are Using JavaServer Faces Today
STAMFORD, CT (PRWEB) February 15, 2005 -- JSF Central today announced the start of In the Trenches" -- a series of articles about real-world experiences when developing applications with JavaServer Faces. JavaServer Faces is a new standard for developing web applications in Java.
In order to help organizations understand how they can best leverage JavaServer Faces (JSF), In the Trenches" showcases projects that use JSF for web application development. Each article will focus on one or more projects, explaining how the technology was used and discussing any issues the team faced during the development. The first article discusses how an Italian company has standardized on JSF as the foundation for its web development.
"JSF is less than a year old, so there isn't a lot of data out there about how people are using it." says Kito D. Mann, Editor-in-Chief of JSF Central and author of JavaServer Faces in Action (Manning Publications). One of the most common questions I hear about JSF is, 'Are there any projects in production yet?' 'In the Trenches' is a good way to answer that question -- you hear about how people are really using this technology."
In order to ensure a constant stream of case studies, JSF Central is continuously searching for information about JSF projects. As an incentive to anyone whose story is included in the series, he/she will receive a copy of the book JavaServer Faces in Action, courtesy -- Manning Publications (for a limited time). "In addition to the publicity that one receives when he/she is included in the series, we would like to offer other incentives as well. We are very anxious to hear from JSF users," says Mann.
The series can be found on the web at http://www.jsfcentral.com/trenches. For more information about In the Trenches", or to submit your own stories, send an e-mail to, trenches@jsfcentral.com.
