Preclick Corporation today announced the availability of CD-Viewer and Photo Organizer software, built with HPÂs industry-leading imaging and printing technology, for retailers, peripheral manufacturers and online service providers.
Licensees can customize, brand and distribute software copies to customers, enhancing home digital photography.
Adorama, the nationÂs #2 mail-order photo retailer, announced today it will distribute the Preclick-powered Photo Organizer software with orders and at its photo-sharing site, http://www.adoramapix.com.
ÂSince 2002, weÂve offered Preclick software that helps customers switch to digital, said Herman Klein, Adorama PhotoLab manager. ÂItÂs so simple, customers love it. With HP imaging and printing technology, we can offer customers the best home printing experience. While they still print with Adorama, we anticipate additional home printing sales, including HP printers, photo paper and ink.Â
Developed by Preclick in 2004, the new software comes in two editions: CD-Viewer and Desktop Software. All versions include leading-edge HP technology, such as adaptive lighting, which automatically adjusts high-contrast photos to bring faces out of shadows and details out of backgrounds. HP technology also lets users print borderless 4x6-inch photos in just one click. Also, the Preclick software uniquely offers a frequently updated Create-tab where customers can build drag-and-drop projects and album pages.
ÂOur aim is simple: the easiest way to print photos at home, said Brian Smiga, Preclick CEO. ÂAnd built-in marketing tools -- customer registration, surveys, retailer branding, and integrated HTML windows -- educate customers.Â
At 4MB, the Preclick-powered Organizer installs in seconds; the CD-Viewer is smaller than a JPEG. Preclick's zero-learning curve speeds adoption. Both editions are available in 22 languages. Their plug-in architecture supports add-on software from HP and Preclick, such as PhotoBack backup software, PhotoMovieMakerÂ, and Photowiki Photo Sites.
ÂThe Preclick-powered software with HP technology for retailers is another step that delivers positive experiences to the growing base of photo-ready printer owners, said Tim Bajarin, CEO, Creative Strategies.
Preclick earned Shutterbug's "Best of Show " at Photo Marketing 2003, http://www.pmai.org, described "as fun to use as it is easy to use." Review copies are available at http://www.preclick.com/partner.
