In celebration of International WomenÂs Day, Voices & Visions is hosting its First Annual International WomenÂs Day Conference in Halton on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Halton Region Administration Building, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville.
International WomenÂs Day is celebrated around the world every year on March 8. This day is an opportunity to reflect and celebrate ordinary women as makers of history. A variety of events are held around the world to celebrate the achievements for women's equality.
City and Regional Councillor, Joan Lougheed Co-Chairs the Voices & Visions Committee and stated, ÂThe committee members are a group of dedicated volunteers who are organizing this conference for women and men to share their voices, visions and to exchange information to enrich their lives. IÂm impressed with the enthusiasm of the committeeÂ. They recruited fabulous speakers for our sessions along with keynote speaker, Angela Jackson.Â
Angela Jackson is a best selling author, successful speaker and life coach. Ms Jackson is a graduate of York University and the University of Toronto and has been featured on CBSÂs Geraldo, CBCÂs Venture, Body Break, Benmurgi Live, Real Life TV and in several leading publications.
