Children's Art Gallery Reaches 1000 Pictures
The largest online children's art gallery has reached the milestone of 1,000 pictures from 66 countries!
Sunriver, OR (PRWEB) February 18, 2005 -- The Global Children's Art Gallery, the largest collection of children's artwork on the Internet, has reached 1,000 pictures and paintings by children age 1 to 12 from 66 countries.
With thousands of visitors each day from over 100 countries, the Gallery is one of the most popular and fastest growing sites on the Internet. The Gallery has been featured on CNN Headline News, Canada AM TV, the "Yahoo Daily Pick", and elsewhere.
Jason Hunt began the Gallery in the spring of 1997, when he realized that his mother's parenting website, The Natural Child Project, was "all about children" but that there was "nothing by them or for them".
The colorful Gallery grew slowly at first, with just a few pictures from local friends' children. After CNN Headline News featured the site on their TV news show, the collection began to grow.
Pictures arrive regularly now from around the world, and a new 10-image page is added monthly. The Gallery offers a delightful break from our stressful world, and a source of inspiration for young artists. The pictures are presented as thumbnail images which can be enlarged. The picture title, childs name and age, the medium used, and the name and flag of each country are shown. The Gallery is well-designed and easily navigated.
Art prints, posters, and greeting cards featuring the Gallery pictures are available as fund-raisers for the Natural Child Project.
Pictures can be sent electronically or by postal mail. For submission details, click on "Submit picture" on the Gallery home page
