This internet collaboration tool is a proven method embraced by numerous industries with a similar goal of sharing information. In this effort, our goal at Telecomworx is to provide useful information that gets to the bottom of user questions and concerns without marketing hype and to then constructively use the information to promote change, according to Matt Brunk, CEO of Telecomworx. As we learned at VoiceCon 2005, (www.voicecon.com) held in Orlando, Florida (February 7th - 10th) large enterprise staff remains divided in internal voice and data convergence efforts and act as if they work for separate companies. This division of labor isn't healthy and information sharing supports the current and evolving next generation staff implementing and supporting VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technologies. Small - medium enterprises suffer in that they may not have internal qualified resources and the time to adopt and manage the new technologies. There is already in place a baseline of proven traditional telecommunications methods and practices that new entrants and younger personnel aren't familiar with. With the convergence movement in business today, a narrowing effect in job titles and roles will occur with collaboration, information gathering, and change. We are familiar with this process and are using the model of the NBX Group, (www.nbxgroup.com) a previous successful venture in which telecommunications manufacturers took note, implemented changes and delivered improvements to the user and dealer/VAR (Value Added Reseller) community while abandoning price hikes. This is the power of collaboration.
Beyond Telecom steps beyond current boundaries and presents issues such as the on-going argument to rebuild our national telecommunications infrastructure to deliver bandwidth to every farm, home, town, city and user in the United States. Our nations highways are jammed, our national telecommunications policies are out of date, global outsourcing is threatening jobs on American soil, and our ability to compete and behave as an information society is diminished as is the thinking and mindset about telecommunications. We believe that telecommunications empowers people who in turn power organizations. The US stands to gain a world class competitive edge so we must act now and push fervently to redevelop our nations public telecommunications assets into a modernization effort that meets three primary objectives. First, modernize national policy and laws governing present day and future US telecommunications; second re-build and provide a national telecommunications infrastructure without jeopardy to the first objective including national security and economic interests; and third to flourish and minimize governance without forsaking any other primary objectives. Collaboration is essential, and in our current politically divided atmosphere, we cannot endure without collaboration at least on the front of telecommunications. Our existing telecommunications infrastructure is a national asset and must be protected and treated as such, and not as another special interest group.
