Application Deadline is April 22 for International Talent Search Rochester Competition
Kingdom Bound Christian Music Festival accepts applications from singers and bands for talent search
BUFFALO, NY (PRWEB) February 20, 2005 -- Applications for the 2005 Kingdom Bound/Compassion International Talent Search are currently being accepted by WRCI 102.7 FM (585-264-1027, www.wrcifm.com) through April 22. Six singers and/or bands will be selected from the applications received to compete in a live concert setting on May 14 at Bethel Christian Fellowship in Rochester, New York.
Kingdom Bound is holding talent searches in ten American and Canadian cities. The winner of the Rochester competition will then compete against other American city winners at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church in suburban Buffalo this June. The overall American winner of the Kingdom Bound/Compassion International Talent Search receives several prizes, in addition to the opportunity to perform live on the Houghton College Park Stage at this summers Kingdom Bound Christian music festival.
The talent search is held in conjunction with the 19th annual Kingdom Bound Christian music festival at Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park and camping resort July 31 -- August 3. Six Flags Darien Lake is located in Darien Center, New York, about an hour southwest of Rochester.
Kingdom Bound, one of North Americas largest and longest-running festivals, features over 40 pop, rock and praise & worship artists, including headliners Newsboys, Michael W. Smith and MercyMe, hip-hop artist Michael Peace from Rochester, as well as several speakers, including social commentator Lakita Garth and movie actor Stephen Baldwin, among its packed line-up.
