April 15 is Deadline for Kingdom Bound Buffalo-Area Talent Search Application Entries

Kingdom Bound Christian music festival hosts Buffalo-area talent search

BUFFALO, NY (PRWEB) February 20, 2005 -- Applications for the 2005 Kingdom Bound/Compassion International Talent Search are currently being accepted through April 15. Six singers and/or bands will be selected from the applications received to compete in a live concert setting on May 6 at Bethesda Full Gospel Church in Tonawanda, New York.

Kingdom Bound is holding talent searches in ten American and Canadian cities. The winner of the Tonawanda competition, sponsored in part by Buffalos WDCX 99.5 FM, will then compete against other American city winners at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church in Williamsville this June. The overall American winner of the Kingdom Bound/Compassion International Talent Search receives several prizes, in addition to the opportunity to perform live on the Houghton College Park Stage at the this summers Kingdom Bound Christian music festival. Application packets for the talent search are currently available by calling Kingdom Bound at 1-800-937-7977 or downloading an application from www.kingdombound.org.

The talent search is held in conjunction with the 19th annual Kingdom Bound Christian music festival at Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park and camping resort July 31 -- August 3. Six Flags Darien Lake is located in Darien Center, New York, halfway between Buffalo and Rochester.

Kingdom Bound, one of North Americas largest and longest-running festivals, features over 40 pop, rock and praise & worship artists, including headliners Newsboys, Michael W. Smith and MercyMe, as well as several speakers, including social commentator Lakita Garth and movie actor Stephen Baldwin, among its packed line-up.

Kingdom Bound tickets are surprisingly affordable and include admission to amusement park rides, like the giant Ferris wheel and the Superman: Ride Of Steel coaster. Tickets can be charged by phone at 716-633-1117 or 1-800-461-4485, Monday through Friday 10-5pm EST.
