A Little History, Country Music and Campfire Cuisine

Johnny Nix, host of Campfire Café (the only open fire cooking show on television), will be cooking up gourmet meals with major Country music artists during filming of the seventh season this spring. EMG Productions, in association with Webster & Associates Public Relations of Nashville, are currently booking artists to appear in the Lewis and Clark Expedition Recipe Series.

(PRWEB) February 28, 2005 -- Guest artists will assist Johnny Nix in the outdoor preparation of authentic recipes from the famous expedition that will be cooked entirely over the open fire. In keeping with the outdoor spirit and historical nature of the series, filming will be conducted at the picturesque Hank Williams Estate, home of Jett Williams and Keith Adkinson in rural Tennessee. The hospitality of Jett and Keith will flavor the recipes better than any other ingredient well use", says host Johnny Nix. In addition to Campfire Cafés uncommon cooking methods, viewers will be further entertained by music videos from the featured artists in each episode.

Were excited to offer viewers and fans a look at their favorite artists relaxed and having fun cooking over the campfire with Johnny, while enjoying the breathtaking scenery from Jetts mountain", says executive producer Pamela Alford. As loyal viewers of the program already know, Campfire Café is known for its unique presentation of the many different ways to make outdoor cooking enjoyable and successful. Inspiring viewers to give open fire cooking a try is what Johnny Nix strives to do in every show with his step-by-step instruction and entertaining, down home delivery of gourmet recipes.

Country music artists are well known for incorporating basic values and the simple pleasures of life into their music. Including them on the show is a natural way to continue efforts to establish open fire cooking as a recreational activity anyone can enjoy. Recipes from the historic Lewis & Clark Expedition will help remind us that cooking is a basic life skill we need to pass on to the next generation. The combination of Johnny Nix, a little history, talented guest stars, fresh air and great food will be a winning combination for an entertaining new season.

Campfire Café airs on PBS and RFD-TV weekly to over 100 million households. The Lewis and Clark Celebrity series airs Fall 2005. Season premiere of the Open Hearth series filmed on location at the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, TN airs March 1, 2005. Information on the series, as well as broadcast venues and schedules, may be found on-line at www.campfirecafe.com.
