New York, NY (PRWEB) February 25, 2005 -- Eclectic World-Fusion composer and performing artist Sean Grace, landed the top spot for most airplay in 2004 on the 200-plus U.S. stations serving the new-age/world-music radio market, according to NARs year-end report published February 20.
Grace hit the airways in June 2004 with his sophomore release -- New Frontiers (NCA Records) -debuting at #1 on over 170 stations nation-wide. Described as eloquent and evocative..." by Jazz Times Magazine, New Frontiers grabbed the attention of radio programmers and listeners alike staying high on the charts longer and stronger than any of the other 3,200 albums tracked during the year.
Building on the momentum generated on the left of the dial", NCA released a single from the record, Street Flight, to 300 stations in the more commercial Smooth-Jazz radio market in January 05. Despite its unconventional world-fusion feel, Street Flight debuted at #3 on the R&R Smooth Jazz Most Added" Chart competing with new releases from such notable heavy-weights as David Sanborn and Kenny G.
Nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Artist of 2004 by 100 radio program directors (NAR), Graces unusual celtic-rock meets jazz-fusion style has been compared to both Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and Pat Metheny.
The Sean Grace Band is continuing to support the release with live performances throughout the north-eastern U.S. and is planning a national tour in Summer / Fall 05.
Retail distribution for New Frontiers is being handled by New Leaf Distributors.
