Irwin Mitchells Leading Business Crime Lawyers are Guilty of Relocating to Its Leeds Office

Associate solicitor Sarah Cleary and assistant solicitor Emma Young, from the Yorkshire regulation and investigations team, are now working full-time from the Queen Street premises.

(PRWEB) February 27, 2005 -- Associate solicitor Sarah Cleary and assistant solicitor Emma Young, from the Yorkshire regulation and investigations team, are now working full-time from the Queen Street premises.

Both were previously based at the firms offices in Hartshead, Sheffield and worked from Leeds according to client needs. The decision to move follows an increasing number of cases arising from clients in West Yorkshire.

The regulation and investigations team specialises in high profile, complex fraud cases, involving organisations such as the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise. It also has a strong regulatory practice, encompassing health and safety and environmental investigations, and acts for professionals, such as fellow solicitors, accused of crimes including money laundering and theft from client accounts.

Ms Cleary said: Were very excited about our move. Irwin Mitchell is already a serious player in Leeds and the surrounding area. Our team's presence will enable us to work more closely with existing clients spread over a wide area, including North Yorkshire, the North-East and Manchester. We also plan to increase our client base and offer advice to business people and other individuals in the early stages of investigations by the authorities."

David Knaggs, Irwin Mitchells managing partner in Leeds, reacted to news of the transfer by saying: Establishing a regulatory and investigations unit is an exciting development for our office, which will add strength to its existing portfolio of specialist services."

Other members of the Yorkshire regulation and investigations team, associates Daniel Stowers and Paul Haycock and solicitors Blake Woodfield and Clara Hamon, will support the move working from Sheffield and Leeds, depending on client needs.
