Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 28, 2005 -- In 50,000 classrooms around the globe, students have been introduced to the future of learning and are succeeding beyond their teachers wildest dreams. Now the 21st Century Model Classroom is making its way into the schools of the United States. System Concepts, Inc and Promethean Inc invite you to observe the future of education with your own eyes.

The 21st Century Model Classroom will be unveiled for the press and educational community Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 1 p.m. CST at 55 E. Monroe Street, lower level. A full demonstration will be conducted by Cynthia Nielson-Morgan, president and founder of SCI. Technicians and Chicago Public Schools educators will be on hand to explain the full capabilities of the system and answer questions.

Since its 2002 introduction in the United States, about 7,000 boards have been placed in American schools and over 12,000 are expected to be installed in 2005 alone. SCI has placed this educational tool in school districts across the state of Illinois, including the Chicago Public Schools system, and are preparing to roll out the ACTIVboard to classrooms in six Midwestern states beginning next month.

The 21st Century Model Classroom includes the Promethean ACTIVboard, a nearly indestructible teaching aide which is already making chalk and dry erase boards practically obsolete. By allowing interaction through the use of a battery free stylus with left and right-click capability, teachers use lesson development software to instruct their classrooms with true technology: point and click, multimedia, internet, thousands of researchable resources and highly integrated hardware and accessories. This educational process has proved invaluable to students of all ages and education levels, including those with ADD and ADHD.

System Concepts, Inc. was founded in 1993 by president and owner Cynthia Nielsen-Morgan to address the technology needs of educators. SCI delivers system integration services for video, voice, data and security networks. The company, which is 100 percent woman-owned with WBE/DBE certification in the City of Chicago, strives to inspire positive change by bringing their clients solutions which deliver results and improve the bottom line, both in the boardroom and in the classroom.
