Mystery Envelope on eBay Now has a Sequel

The much-celebrated 'Mystery Envelope' on eBay is the latest in a line of outrageous auction items that has graced the premier internet auction site.

(PRWEB) February 27, 2005 -- When eBay seller, joynersgeneralstore, listed a mystery envelope for sale on the popular auction site, most people thought it was a joke. No one was laughing though, when the numbers went ballistic.

With less than 48 hours left on the auction, the bids have reached a whopping $1,650 and the counter shows 109 bids for the item. What blows the mind is that no one knows for sure what the envelope contains.

At press time there have been over 60 similiar listings on eBay in the 'Totally Bizarre' category.

The latest 'Mystery Envelope' auction to enter the fray is one claiming to be the sequel. It features a bigger envelope than the original and is already gaining wide publicity. We have been unsuccessful in getting the seller, elife2000, to provide further details on his auction.

One thing for sure is that the eventual winners will probably get the attention and publicity that other outrageous auctions have generated in the past.

There was the grilled cheese sandwich which bore a resemblance to the Virgin Mary that sold for a staggering $28,000.00. The so-called haunted ghost cane made headlines when closing bid for it was $65,000.

What's obvious is the novelty will die down soon enough. Until then, let's enjoy the ride and wait for the next big thing on eBay.
