ItÂ?s Just Lunch, the premier dating service for busy professionals, with over 75 locations worldwide, plans to open its first location in the Caribbean and its third international location, the Dominican Republic in the Spring of 2005. The Dominican RepublicÂ?s ItÂ?s Just Lunch office will be located in Santa Domingo, the business hub of the Caribbean.

Last year, It’s Just Lunch opened its first international locations in Singapore and Toronto and plans to open an additional 10 international locations in 2005.

“The Dominican Republic has 8.8 million people and is becoming the center for advanced engineering, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology for the Caribbean, as well as continuing its growth with the top industries of tourism, mining and sugar processing,” said Daniel Dolan, Chairman and CEO. “There are over 2 million singles and with the growth in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic will continue to be the business hub of the Caribbean for advanced technology.”

It’s Just Lunch conducted a survey of 3,698 singles and found that 52% of single women and 48% of single men have used a dating service—compared to only 8% a decade ago. Today singles are taking more proactive steps to improve their dating lives.

Since It’s Just Lunch was founded in 1991, the company has arranged thousands of fun, first date lunches or drinks after work—an atmosphere where singles can feel comfortable with the process of meeting a new person.
