Bill Johnson's The Baggage Handler will be performed in New York on April 4th as part of the Creative Mechanics/E-MergingWriters 10-Minute play competition, Stage This! The Best 10-Minute Plays We Could Find Festival.

(PRWEB) March 3, 2005 -- Bill Johnson's The Baggage Handler will be performed in New York on April 4th as part of the Creative Mechanics/E-MergingWriters 10-Minute play competition, Stage This! The Best 10-Minute Plays We Could Find Festival.

In The Baggage Handler a couple getting ready to be reborn learn something about themselves and each other when they check in their baggage for their next life and try and leave one bag behind.

The festival is held at the Theater of the 14th Street Y in New York City at 8pm. To make reservations (space is limited), call (201) 686-9131.

Bill will be in New York to attend the performance.

The Baggage Handler is part of Bill's series of plays set in the after life that include Pre-Life, Pre-Nuptial, about a couple arguing about a pre-nuptial agreement before they are born; and Betting the Karmic House, about a couple betting their karma in a heavenly casino.

Bill is the author of A Story is a Promise; office manager of Willamette Writers, a writing group with 1,250 members; and webmaster of Essays on the Craft of Dramatic Writing!, a web site that reviews popular novels, movies, and plays to a way to explore principles of storytelling. He currently teaches an on-line writing workshop through the University of California, San Diego.
