The Enterprise Password Safe is a tool that solves a common password management problem that exists in almost all IT departments by providing a centralised, audited password repository accessed via a web browser. The Argosy TelCrest Enterprise Password Safe is written in 100% Java and can run on any platform which has a Java 1.4 SDK. The EPS includes Argosy TelCrest database abstraction software which allows the Enterprise Password Safe to be ported to new databases in a short period of time.
The latest version of the Enterprise Password Safe supports hierarchical grouping of passwords, searching of the entire hierarchy, user and group level access controls, delegation of administration functions, optional recording of previous versions of passwords, and much more. All actions are optionally stored in an audit log, and audit alerts can be sent in real time using an SMTP mail server.
