(PRWEB) March 3, 2005 -- Argosy TelCrest are proud to announce the next generation of their Enterprise Password Safe is now available for evaluation and purchase. The new version includes numerous improvements and additions to the previous version which are the result of user feedback and internal innovation.

The Enterprise Password Safe is a tool that solves a common password management problem that exists in almost all IT departments by providing a centralised, audited password repository accessed via a web browser. The EPS is currently used by global corporations and smaller organisations located around the world, and serves organisations as diverse as financial institutions, universities, drinks manufacturers, and many more.

The Argosy TelCrest Enterprise Password Safe is written in 100% Java and can run on any platform which has a Java 1.4 SDK. It uses Oracle 10g, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, PostgreSQL, or MySQL to store the password information to allow the customer to choose which storage platform fits their existing policies and procedures. The EPS includes Argosy TelCrest database abstraction software which allows the Enterprise Password Safe to be ported to new databases in a short period of time.

The latest version of the Enterprise Password Safe supports hierarchical grouping of passwords, searching of the entire hierarchy, user and group level access controls, delegation of administration functions, optional recording of previous versions of passwords, and much more. All actions are optionally stored in an audit log, and audit alerts can be sent in real time using an SMTP mail server.

Argosy TelCrest encourage user feed back and actively encourage potential customers to make use of the free one month trial period to ensure that the Enterprise Password Safe meets their needs and is deployed within their current environment in the most effective configuration possible.

The Enterprise Password Safe is affordable for all sizes of organisations, and Argosy TelCrest regularly discuss custom licence arrangements to ensure the customer receives a fair deal.

More information about the Enterprise Password Safe can be found at http://www.argosytelcrest.co.uk/pwsafe/ or by Emailing contact@argosytelcrest.co.uk.
