Bayside Restaurant Owner Sal Celi Stars In Film "UGG"
Sal Celi the owner of Maria's Trattoria Ristorante located in Bayside Queens,New York City is starring in a film directed by filmmakerTed Ryan who has had films in the Queens and Long Island Film Festivals. The film will shoot at the restaurant on March 2nd and March 3rd
(PRWEB) March 6, 2005 -- On Wednesday March 2nd Director Ted Ryan will begin filming a movie in Bayside, Queens. The location of the film will be Maria's Trattoria Ristorante located at 45-73 Bell Blvd.in Bayside Queens. Sal Celi the owner of the restaurant will be acting in the film. Mr. Celi has operated the neighborhood restaurant for 28 years. It is not only a favorite of locals but the restaurant also draws a large following of people who come from all over to sample its fine cuisine. Sal is a great host who is always ready to greet his guests with warmth and humor.
Mr. Celi started his acting career at the tender age of 75 and has appeared on television, in the movies and has acted in an industrial. One of his appearances was on the Best Week Ever seen on VH1 where he played a Senior Citizen who had to arm wrestle another Senior Citizen for a flu shot.
The movie entitled "UGG" will have Celi playing a restaurant owner. Celi is a Bayside resident.
Gary D. Morgan an actor who also resides in Bayside is playing a chef in the film. Mr Morgan has appeared in film,television,theatre and is currently playing "Little Pussy" in the New York Dinner Theatre Production of The Soapranos.
Featured actors in the film include Keith Jordan, Chris Jones and Valerie Brody.
Ted Ryan is a Massachusetts born filmmaker who attended College of the Holy Cross, where he made his first short "Dishes." Shot, edited, and crewed completely by himself, the picture gained Ted acceptance to Emerson College's School of Visual Arts. While at Emerson, Ted won the 2002 EVVY Award for his screenplay Spacerats Killed JFK, while completing his thesis film, "Jimmy's The Fittest." In 2003, Ted moved to New York, where he founded Modest House Productions Ted is an award winning Director who has also written the script for this film. This is Mr. Ryan's fourth film. He has had films selected for the Long Island and Queens Film Festivals. Mr. Ryan is currently residing in Astoria.
