Archie Comics Coming to Mobile Phones Worldwide Through Exclusive Deal with Nazara
Archie Comics has awarded the worldwide wireless/mobile rights for content based on its characters, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie and, of course, Archie exclusively to Nazara Technologies
(PRWEB) March 3, 2005 -- Comics Entertainment, LLC has awarded the worldwide wireless/mobile telephone platform rights for content based on Archie Comics characters, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie and, of course, Archie to Nazara Technologies Private Limited. The announcement was made by Steve Herman, Vice President of Merchandising for Archie Comics Entertainment, LLC.
Content included in the Archie Comics entertainment - Nazara agreement encompasses mobile phone games, wallpapers, screensavers, comic panels or strips and MMS greeting cards. As a result of the agreement, Nazara secures an exclusive license to develop content based on the Archie Comics characters for global wireless and mobile phone market distribution. The deal
provides Nazara Technologies with access to over 60 years of comics from the archives of Archie
Comic Publications, Inc.
