Muse Communications has promoted De Verges Jones to Chief Marketing Officer, according to Chairman J. Melvin Muse. Jones will be directly involved in all aspects brand development and marketing mix optimization for all agency clients and prospect.

Most recently, Jones served as chief marketing officer for eBility.com leaving in 2002 to join Muse Communications. Prior to joining eBbility.com, he served two years as general manager of the West Coast office of Empower Media Marketing. Jones has more than 20 years experience in consumer products, and has managed accounts totaling $3 billion for global brands such as Pepsi, Philips and Pedigree pet food.
Jones has been the recipient of the Clio, Effie and CEBA awards for advertising excellence. HeÂs had numerous articles published concerning his work and his accomplishments in furthering brands through the processes of consumer promotion, product launch, advertising, event marketing and public relations. In addition, Jones has been featured on local network affiliate TV shows and ESPN.
A graduate of Morehouse College, Jones received a B.A. in Business Administration. From there he acquired an M.B.A in marketing from Cornell University at the Johnson School of Management. Jones has also studied international business and urban economics at Columbia University.
