Augusta Pictures Launches Screenplay Contest
Augusta Pictures is pleased to announce the launch of the Augusta Pictures Screenplay Contest beginning March 5, 2005 and running through September 5, 2005. English language feature-length scripts in any genre will be accepted. The contest is designed to help screenwriters gain industry exposure with agents, production companies, producers and studios and to give them the opportunity to have their screenplay developed for feature film production.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 5, 2005 -- Augusta Pictures is pleased to announce the launch of the Augusta Pictures Screenplay Contest beginning March 5, 2005 and running through September 5, 2005. English language feature-length scripts in any genre will be accepted. The contest is designed to help screenwriters gain industry exposure with agents, production companies, producers and studios and to give them the opportunity to have their screenplay developed for feature film production.
The winning screenwriter will work directly with Augusta Pictures founder and producer Diana Osberg to develop the winning screenplay for possible production. Ms. Osberg will personally guide the writer through the entire process of developing a script for production. While there is no guarantee of production, every effort will be made to bring the project to the screen.
Previously with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Ms. Osberg has worked with many of the industrys top studio executives, was a member of the development staff for an A-list actor/producer based at Sony and has nearly ten years of experience in physical production. She developed and co-wrote the award winning indie feature THE JOURNEY, studied screenwriting with Oscar nominated screenwriter Janet Roach (Prizzi's Honor) and is developing and producing several projects for Augusta Pictures.
The companys slate of feature films includes BLIND ANGEL, which Ms. Osberg is producing with Craig Anderson under his banner Craig Anderson Productions, Flight to Freedom with producers Osberg and Stellarlight Entertainments Colin Korbelas and Erika Jarecki, Dangling in the Adios!, with producers Osberg and Wendy Maguire and Scratch his (winner of the Berkeley Park Records International Feature Film Screenplay Contest) with producer Osberg, writer/producer Shannon Factor and story creator/producer Emma E. Hickox. Ms. Osberg is also developing an original television series entitled MIX TRAC which she will produce with actress/singer DeBorah Sharpe-Taylor (Jelly's last jam, it ain't nothin but the blues, the Supremes) and creator David H. Foreman.
