Rome Gladiators Announce 2005 Schedule

The World Basketball AssociationÂ?s (WBA) Rome Gladiators, announce the release of their 2005 schedule; and free-agent tryout camp.

The WBA season runs April, May and June with franchises in Rome , GA ; Jackson , MS; Macon , GA ; Peachtree City , GA ; Bristol , TN ; Elizabeth Town, KY and Raleigh , NC . The mission of the WBA is to teach, develop and expose basketball players to the NBA, NBDL, ABA , CBA and International Scouts while providing each community with an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment.

The Gladiators season begins at home against the Magic City Court Kings of Birmingham, Alabama on Monday April 25th. “We are excited once again to be doing everything we can to bring Rome a WBA Championship title and to provide the community with family friendly, affordable entertainment. With a season behind us that included previous ownership turmoil, we really feel that this is our opportunity to offer the type of product that the Rome community can really feel proud of and support,” says owner and NBA star Theo Ratliff.

The Gladiators schedule will consist of 24 games – with 12 at home played at the Forum Civic Center. To learn more about the team or view the schedule, visit

The Rome Gladiators will hold a Free Agent Tryout Camp on March 20th in Rome. Detailed information on this upcoming camp will be released in the coming days. The World Basketball Association will also be holding its own league wide Free Agent Tryouts on April 15th & 16th, 2005 at Life University in Marietta. Georgia.
