The National Association of Insurance Litigation Management, the NationÂs oldest organization dedicated solely to Education, training and research in Insurance Litigation management, offers free Membership to Insurance Carrier employees.
ÂIndividuals who work directly for Insurance carriers may apply for free membership online said Teresa Smith, Executive Director of the Association. ÂOur membership is free because we seek to support carrier efforts at training and educating those professionals handling litigated filesÂ, Ms. Smith went on to say. ÂIt is often the litigated files that pose the most daunting challenge for the claims professional, the claims department and the carrier, generallyÂ.
The NAILM sponsors seminars on subjects as diverse as coverage, SIU issues, Bad faith, and more. ÂNAILM seminars run the gambitÂ, Ms. Smith commented.
Many of these seminars our online or phone call in seminars that members can participate in at little or no cost.
The organization also reaches out to the vendors, or Âlitigation Partners that service claims departments. ÂWe also focus on enhancing the relationship between insurance companies and the myriad service providers, such as lawyers, consultants and adjuster, who work with litigation managersÂ.
In line with this, the NAILM is sponsoring a Litigation Management Tech Summit in Chicago in Late April and a very popular symposium called ÂWinning Friends and Influencing People in The Claims Department in May. The latter seminar is a primer on how to market to claims departments, but more importantly, Ms. Smith points out ÂIt is an open dialogue between carrier professionals- Vice Presidents, Claims Professionals and others, and the lawyers and consultants who work with us. ÂWe try to get across to them those things that open doors at the claims litigated level and those that close them.Â
Litigation Partners pay nominal annual membership dues for membership in the NAILM.
