Virtual List support for the Report Control provides a Âvirtual modeÂ that allows developers to add an almost unlimited number of rows to the list without sacrificing performance. In addition to virtual mode, support to easily filter the rows in the Report Control by one or more text strings has been added. The new filter text feature helps users effortlessly find information in the list.
The addition of F1 key support for Visual Basic developers Visual Studio .NET for C++ developers allows developers instant access to help for all of the classes, methods and properties. This new functionality combined with completely overhauled online help and documentation provides developers with quick access to online help documentation from within the Visual Studio IDE.
Enhanced theme support for both Visual C++ and Visual Basic provides additional enhancements to the already professional customization capabilities for the Command Bars, Docking Pane, Property Grid, and Suite controls. Several new themes have been added such as the Visual Studio 2005 ÂWhidbeyÂ theme and the Shortcut Bar Office 2003 theme that will give any application a fresh new look. In addition to the new themes, the developer can customize individual display elements for each control providing greater control to meet each developerÂs particular needs.
Developers now have the option to save and restore Command Bar layout in XML format. The new XML format provides more flexibility and allows the developer determine what aspects of the layout should be saved and restored including images which can now be stored in XML format.
