(PRWEB) March 7, 2005
Houston, March 7, 2005  Schipul  The Web Marketing Company has launched the Washington-D.C.-based Web Analytics Association (WAA) Web site at http://www.webanalyticsassociation.org. Establishing this online presence was one of the first official actions of the WAA, which was founded on Feb. 21, 2005.
The mission of the not-for-profit organization, comprised of Web analytics industry experts, leading vendors and organizations that utilize Web analytics, is to unite and foster the interests of end-users, vendors, consultants and educators involved in measuring the success of their online business initiatives. Creative design for the site is provided by Seattle-based ZAAZ (http://www.zaaz.com), a premiere corporate member of the WAA.
SchipulÂs proprietary Tendenci® Membership Management Software powers the WAA Web site. Tendenci offers membership associations an all-in-one package of membership management Web tools, including a content manager that allows Web pages to be edited by any authorized site administrator from any desktop, online membership applications with payment options, online event registration and payment, online donations, electronic newsletters, an online membership directory and a surveys module.
ÂThe Schipul team is pleased to partner with the WAA, and we commend them for their efforts to bring this industry together on the Web, said Ed Schipul, president and CEO of Schipul  The Web Marketing Company. ÂThrough the use of Tendenci software, WAA leaders can quickly and easily capture, organize and fully leverage membership data through the use of dynamic and secure Web-based tools, while at the same time relieve administrative burdens and successfully engage members.Â
ÂMore than ever before, marketers are required to justify expenses based on metrics, said Jim Sterne, president of the Web Analytics Association and president of Target Marketing, ÂDespite the WebÂs measurability and optimization, many organizations still donÂt realize the value of Web analytics or arenÂt empowered to take action. The WAA sets out to promote issues such as education, advocacy and standards to strengthen and stabilize the growing web analytics industry.Â
Founding Corporate Members of the WAA include Coremetrics, IBM, Nedstat, Omniture, Visual Sciences, WebSideStory and WebTrends. Premiere Corporate Members to-date include ClickTracks, Harvest Solutions, HP, Site Intelligence and ZAAZ.
Any organization or professional wanting to participate in improving and furthering the field of Web analytics is invited to join WAA. For more information about WAA membership, volunteer or sponsorship opportunities, contact Bryan Eisenberg, chairman, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
