Integrated Remote Access with Online Storage

RemotePC (remotepc.com), a leading Remote Access service provider, has announced Integrated Remote Access and Online Storage service.

(PRWEB) March 9, 2005 -- "This is a first in Remote Access service. Remote Access service is evolving, and users now need ability to do more with their remote access. They need to be able to transfer large amounts of data, either interactively or in a scheduled fashion without a need to keep the remote access session open. They need to access this data from anywhere, and even be able to share. They need a true virtual digital lifestle." said V. Sahay, Project Director at Pro Softnet Corp.

RemotePC now offers a free 5GB online storage account via IBackup (http://www.ibackup.com), another service of Pro Softnet Corp. as an integrated solution with Remote Access for all new paid subscription users of RemotePC. If users have a need to access a large video file on their PC or a collection of office files, they can simply drag-n-drop using WebFolders from their PC into their online storage account and close their remote access session without waiting for completion of transfer. They can access that data from anywhere, at a later time, even share it with a secure link.

"Providing freedom from hardware and ability to do more with remote access is key to ProSoftnet's digital lifestle products. One key area we have always focussed is security . Whether it is remote access or online storage, 128 bit SSL encryption is standard for all communication. Reliability and performance have been our key goals as well. RemotePC uses IBackup's intelligent Global Routing Technology to achieve fastest possible performance for communication between the user's host computer and the viewer. The Technology involves geographically dispersed server farms at strategic locations that together form a cohesive access point to achieve lowest possible latency for best performance. The Global Routing Technology also provides redundancy in case of server failures", said Raghu Kulkarni, President and CEO of Pro Softnet.
