(PRWEB) March 9, 2005 -- April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) is working to turn this monthlong dedication into a yearlong focus. Armed with media partners in Boston based Warner Brothers affiliate WLVI-TV 56 and Bostons Clear Channel Radio stations WXKS-FM Kiss-108, WXKS-AM, WJMN-FM Jamn 94.5, and WKOX-AM, MSPCC is entering the domain of Cause-Marketing and Corporate-Branding with its campaign entitled, Together Against Abuse".

Bain Capital Partners, LLC, the campaigns initial sponsor, is hosting a corporate breakfast for companies who may also be interested in this yearlong Cause-Marketing Campaign. The breakfast will be held on Tuesday, March 15th, 8:30 a.m. at Bain Capital and will include a detailed overview of the campaign and ways that corporate sponsors can participate, and will also include presentations by some of the above-mentioned media partners.

Massachusetts is third in the nation in number of reported cases of child abuse and neglect," said Marylou Sudders, President and CEO of MSPCC. If there is any silver lining in that fact it is that as a state, we may be far more diligent in reporting suspected abuse than others. Nonetheless, we have our work cut out for us because child abuse and neglect is a crisis that is not going away."

The campaign, Together Against Abuse, is scheduled to launch this April to coincide with Child Abuse Prevention Month. MSPCC is seeking a minimum of 4 corporate sponsors that will be part of the yearlong media campaign. Consumers are influenced when corporations care...thats the premise of Cause-Marketing," added MSPCCs Director of Corporate Relations, Terrance Conway.

The Together Against Abuse campaign employs strategically placed advertising. In addition to the coveted prime-time and drive-time placements on television and radio, MSPCC and its media partners will unveil special, long-format programming to address abuse prevention, teenagers who age out of state care, foster parenting and other topics. To round out its marketing initiative and sponsor benefits, MSPCC and its media partners will utilize consumer-centered promotions that add visibility to the campaign.

To reserve attendance at the corporate breakfast or for more information about the Together Against Abuse" campaign, contact Terrance Conway, Director of Corporate Relations, MSPCC at (617) 587-1594. Please respond by this Friday, March 11 if you wish to attend the breakfast.
