Free Software Magazine, The World's Only Magazine About Free Software, Goes To Print

Free Software Magazine is a new magazine packed with high quality, in depth articles on free software, its use and the ethics and philosophy surrounding it. Examples of free software include Linux, Apache, and Mozilla's Firefox and Thunderbird.

(PRWEB) March 10, 2005 -- Free Software Magazine, the world's only magazine about free software, goes to print.

The first two issues of Free Software Magazine were only available online. The third issue will be sent to the magazine's subscribers on March 20, 2005. Subscriptions are available on the magazine's web site: http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/subscribe/. The magazine will not be available on news stands.

Free Software Magazine is unique in that all of its contents are released under a free license (chosen by the authors) six weeks after publication. In the long run, a great number of high quality articles about free software will be available online. Hopefully, the articles published in Free Software Magazine will spread, and will eventually be included in free software's standard documentation. The magazine was created by published authors, publishing experts, professional editors and free software enthusiasts; they are establishing Free Software Magazine as an authoritative voice for free software.
