Are You A Maternity Outcast
It seems if you are a business or professional woman in today's society, finding good quality maternity business suits can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Does this lack of apparel in the clothing industry in any way equal predjudice toward the pregnant working woman?
(PRWEB) March 11, 2005 -- During my pregnancy, I experienced what many business women do when searching out good quality clothing to wear while pregnant: There wasn't any!
A dilemna that compels me to ponder why after thousands of years of women being pregnant do we not have a better choice of clothing through our trimesters? I know that maternity fashion has come a long way, and we are entering an era of "stylish, hip" maternity clothing, but there seems to be the one area that is lacking considerably: business clothing.
In my quest to find business maternity clothing, I came across only a select few that were really offering high quality suits and true career-wear: www.maternityleasing.com and www.thematernityward.com
Professional Expectations(Maternity Leasing)and The Maternity Ward carry similar clothing and some of the same designers (Ran Designs, Olian etc)and that is simply because there are not many designers making professional maternity. Why not?
Professional Expectations offers a unique leasing service for those women who only need items for 2-4 weeks (or more) or for a special occasion. (After all, who wants to purchase a maternity dress for a one time event if they can just lease it for much less?) The Maternity Ward offers terrific high quality suits at huge discount prices. Suits that cost $150 to $289 at any other boutique have prices of $59-$129! These are high quality designer suits made better than the most expensive suits out there.
The bigger question remains: Why do you walk into some of the biggest department stores that cater to every size person only to find one round rack (maybe 2 if you're lucky) of out-dated maternity clothing that sometimes even appears to be pre-worn! I'm sure the statistics are high that most women at some point or another are going to find themselves pregnant and needing clothing. So why are "we" discriminated against? Or so it seems.
Be that as it may, these companies are doing a great service for those of us that still want, have or need to work while pregnant. Take a moment and visit Professional Expectations or The Maternity Ward soon if you are pregnant and support the business woman of today!
