Edclectic Entertainment Gets "25 Strong" With Purpose

Purpose Records to release soundtrack to Inner City Basketball Film

(PRWEB) March 12, 2005 -- EDclectic Entertainment and the New York based Purpose Record label have entered into an agreement whereby Purpose will release the soundtrack to the documentary film "25 Strong". "25 Strong" is a film that celebrates and outlines the 25 year history of the vaunted Kevin Bushell's Pre Teen Basketball Classic. NBA stars Stephon Marbury, Rafer "Skip to My Lou" Alston and Jamaal Tinsley are among the alumni of the Classsic which takes place every summer in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York.

The music on the soundtrack is heavily based in organic soul. Among the artists included are DJ Spinna, Angela Johnson featuring Rahsaan Patterson, Ticklah featuring Antibalis, Julie Dexter, Trinidadian soca star Patrice Roberts and others. The soundtrack is scheduled for a June release.

The film "25 Strong" is produced and directed by Kevin Harewood and Steven Booth. It is an EDclectic Entertainment and Lock and Roll Production.
