"This Day In Music" was first launched in 2000 and has been used daily by music fans from all corners of the world ever since founder Neil Cossar started to collect music facts when working as a late-night DJ on a South Manchester radio station in 1993. His radio show became well known for it's musical facts and trivia, Neil has been collecting information ever since, buying up old music papers from ebay and second hand book shops.
A former musician, Neil is no stranger to the music world, his band were signed to Parlophone Records in the 80's, (they released 3 albums) and while working as a DJ interviewed countless acts including, Blur, Lenny Kravitz, The Cranberries, Radiohead and The Charlatans. He also runs a music PR company with his partner Liz Sanchez who's clients have included INXS, Def Leppard, Michael Buble, Barenaked Ladies, LeAnn Rimes, Lighthouse Family and Lloyd Cole.
