Four Businesses Combine Forces to Offer Unique Power Pack B-to-B Seminars

By joining forces, four very different Maryland businesses have found a unique way to introduce themselves to their market segments. The group formed a partnership called S.T.E.P. (Safety, Technology, Education and Planning), which offers seminars to the business community that cover all four topics combined. Their story illustrates the power of business networking--which can create some unusual marketing alliances.

Elkton, MD (PRWEB) March 13, 2005 -- On the surface, Consulting Solutions, LLC, DMA Web Applications, College Funding Services, Inc. and Chris Sopa International are very different businesses. When owners Paul Reed, Mike DePaola, Michael Garrity and Chris Sopa met each other at a weekly business networking group, however, what they learned about each others businesses not only gave them fuel for referring clients to each other-it also opened up a dialogue that sparked an unusual marketing partnership. They realized that each business could market to segments of the other. By offering seminars on multiple topics common to the needs of many business owners, the S.T.E.P. partnership created a win-win situation for themselves and registrants, saving both money and time for each.

•   Consulting Solutions, LLC offers a seminar on Workplace Violence that explores this increasingly disruptive and expensive problem. When employees suffer fear, harassment and injury, businesses are forced to pay spiraling costs for direct and indirect effects of this violence. Paul Reed will provide a better understanding of the risk factors and how to recognize the warning signs of workplace violence before incidents occur.
•   DMA Web Applications explains e-commerce technology solutions for growing businesses, such as shopping carts, databases and other web based applications. Mike De Paola shows business owners how web technology can help them interact better with their customers, and bring their businesses from Brick and Mortar to Click and Order."
•   College Funding Services, Inc. illuminates education funding solutions for college students and families who wish to send their children to private or parochial schools without disrupting their retirement plans. Michael Garrity will discuss tax strategies for business owners, as well as various programs available to help employees with higher education goals.
•   Chris Sopa, a nationally recognized motivational speaker, focuses on bringing holistic wellness to the workplace. Her Goals to Gold, the Power of Planning Your New Year seminar will help attendees define success, identify obstacles and strengths, and learn to master the planning steps needed to turn solution into action.

Do each of these business touch some of the same markets? You bet. Each also operates in Maryland, but pulls clients from neighboring Delaware and Pennsylvania as well. By offering mini-seminars together, the group shares marketing costs and reaches out to a larger customer base. Attendees get extra value as well. In one afternoon they can glean pearls of wisdom from four different business experts for the price of one. That makes good business sense.

The S.T.E.P. program will be held at the New Castle Chamber of Commerce in Newark, Delaware on April 21, 2005 from 8 am to 12 pm. Each mini-seminar will run approximately 45 minutes, with a short break in between. Seating is limited, and costs are $59.99, or $39.99 for any Chamber of Commerce members. Refreshments provided.
