"Now Playing"

The Ritz Gallery @ The Ritz Theater presents "Now Playing". A group exhibition of art by 30 Contemporary artists. Curated by artist and independent curator Karlos Carcamo.

(PRWEB) March 13, 2005 --The Ritz Gallery @ The Ritz Theater is pleased to present Now Playing", a group exhibition of recent work by local, national, and international contemporary visual artists.

Organized by invited visiting artist and independent curator Karlos Carcamo. The exhibition will take place through out the Ritzs theater including its new gallery lobby. Now Playing" will consist of 30 visual artists dealing with a broad range of issues and subject matter in a variety of mediums including, painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, site-specific installation, video and performance art. The exhibition will present a dazzling array of work produced by artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and locations. Hailing from the Hudson Valley, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and abroad.

Participating artists include: Bobby Neel Adams, Brandon Ballengée, Matt Bufford, Chris Bors, Kelly Coats, Mike Childs, Alejandro Dron, David Grainger, Don Herron, Karolyn Hatton, Thomas Huber, Chris Kasper, Kirsten Kucer, Jesse Lambert, Ketta Ioannidou, Ferran Martin-Rosenblum, Liza McConnell, George Mansfield, Karen Ostrom, Sara Pasti, Jill Reynolds, Quintin Rivera-Toro, Dan Spitzer, Tom Snelgrove, Kazumi Tanaka, Mary Temple, Elisa Velasquez, James Walsh, Robert Walden and Eleanor White.

Karlos Carcamo is a visual artist and organizer of the Bronco Video Series. A mobile video series of work by emerging contemporary visual artists. He has exhibited work at PS1 Center for Contemporary Art, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn Museums, Artists Space and White Box Gallery in Chelsea. Originally from New York City he is currently based in Wappingers Falls, NY.
