In addition, SuccessFactors also provided MasterCard's 4000 worldwide employees with a seamless shift to our software while simultaneously reducing performance review-related help desk calls by approximately 25%. - Prior to SuccessFactors, MasterCard was using a workforce performance management technology that was severely limited in functionality. Specifically, there was limited reporting functionality, minimal visibility into each employees' performance history and multiple forms used across their worldwide organization that were unable to be tracked within one system.SuccessFactors was selected to unify the multiple HRMS systems in use at MasterCard, streamline the peformance management process and begin shifting HR's role away from a transactional agent to a more strategic partner driving business at the executive level. The decision to implement SuccessFactors technology was weighted heavily on the company's ASP business model, expansive reporting tools and ability to function as a business partner.

SuccessFactors was tapped to work with MasterCard after a review of the company's previous workforce performance management technology showed functionality limitations. After evaluating available technologies, SuccessFactors was selected to unify the multiple HRMS systems in use at MasterCard and provide the functionality required for this global implementation. The decision to implement SuccessFactors technology was also weighted heavily on the company’s ASP business model and expansive reporting tools.

SuccessFactors' ASP model required little on-site support, and the technology and reporting tools have allowed MasterCard managers to have complete access to employees' performance histories and development paths. MasterCard was able to meet a very tight corporate review deadline while providing its management team with increased control over the company-wide review process.

After the SuccessFactors system was up and running, MasterCard launched the new technology to employees. Based on the success of the initial implementation and the employee acceptance, MasterCard subsequently purchased one of SuccessFactors' newest product offerings, Succession Planning.
