Environmental Fleet Services Receives Award from the State of California for Clean Air Technology

Environmental Fleet Services was award the California Integrated Waste Management Boards 2005 Zoney Award for its reusable and recyclable heavy-duty diesel engine air filters.

(PRWEB) March 16, 2005 -- Environmental Fleet Services (EFS), of Los Angeles, California, was awarded the California Integrated Waste Management Boards 2005 Zoney Award for its line of Cleer-Air heavy-duty diesel engine air filters. Cleer-Air filters are part of EFSs SMARTmaintenance system for heavy-duty diesel engines.

Cleer-Air heavy-duty cleanable and reusable air filters are designed for a service life of up to twenty years or 20 cleanings. Every year in California alone over 75,000 tons of used air filters are added to landfills. Cleer-Air filters not only reduce the amount of waste going into landfills, but they actually provide better air flow to engines and greater cleaning ability than conventional paper filters. What this means for the environment is that landfill waste is reduced and heavy-duty diesel engines run cleaner and more efficiently. Fleet operators using the Cleer-Air filters will see significant savings in both operating and maintenance costs.
Commenting on the award from the California Integrated Waste Management Board, EFSs COO Richard Oberreiter, noted that, Recognition by the CIWMB is an important affirmation of our mission to bring pollution control and cost cutting technologies to fleet operators of heavy-duty diesel transportation and construction equipment." In addition, Mr. Oberreiter stated that the CIWMBs Recycling Market Development Zone business development programs have been crucial to EFSs successful roll-out of the Cleer-Air filters.

The mission of EFS is to develop and implement California and EPA compliant solutions for eliminating waste and pollution from combustions engines, while improving operating performance and efficiency. By using the SMARTmaintenance system waste and pollution are reduced and all generated materials are recycled. This reduces operating costs and labor draining maintenance practices as much as 90%, while eliminating the need to stock large inventories of disposable products. EFSs SMARTmaintenance technologies are available for all major heavy diesel engines including, Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Case, John Deere, Komatsu, Mitsubishi and Volvo among others.

Environmental Fleet Services is a woman and veteran owned business located in Los Angeles, California. The company researches, develops, markets and sells cost-control products for combustion engines by the brand name SMARTmaintenance.
