To enhance the site's popularity, AppearFirst is now offering free ad spots to businesses and individual entrepreneurs. The ads must be text only and relevant to the content of the section that they are to appear under.
"We have a policy that all ads must add value to the pages that they appear on. We screen every single ad and each must be green lighted by a live person before it can appear." said Kitson.
AppearFirst Media ads are an especially effective option for eBay, Overstock and other auction sellers because they deliver a highly targeted, informed audience. Also, the basic ad is free which is obviously a big plus to sellers who often have razor thin margins.
