Bernard Carayon and Ricardo Bofill Keynotes at Competias Conference in Barcelona

Two High Profile Speakers To Highlight European Competitive Intelligence Event

Montreal, (PRWEB) March 17, 2005 -- For its third conference in Europe, Competia will bring together in Barcelona two very special keynote speakers: Mr. Bernard Carayon (www.bcarayon-ie.com), a French parliamentary deputy who produced an incredible report on the state of Competitive Intelligence (CI) for his Government, and Mr. Ricardo Bofill (www.bofill.com), the worlds most famous architect. Mr. Bofill is a specialist on large scale urban design projects that transformed the face of numerous European cities, as well as Boston, Algiers and Kobe. The theme for the Competia European Symposium is CI in Europe: A Thrust Forward. The one-day intense program will draw an exhaustive picture of the state of Competitive Intelligence in Europe. In keeping with the theme of the Conference, Competia has invited Messrs. Bernard Carayon and Ricardo Bofill to close the event with their insights into the future actions needed for corporations and governments to strategically position themselves in an ever competing global market.

Soon after the Carayon Report, legislation protecting Frances economic intelligence was voted. Mr. Carayon characterizes CI as an interpretation grid allowing competitors to see who the other players are and what methods they are using in the global economy. His findings are making waves: drastic changes are required in order to face the challenges of the future and to keep strategic markets within reach. States and corporations will need to tenfold their efforts in CI to gain edge vis-à-vis their competitors and to thrust forward with equal means.

Ricardo Bofills projects throughout the world have changed the way citizens perform their day-to-day business. Some of Mr. Bofills projects include the head office of Cartier in Paris, the 35-storey steel glass Dearborn Center in Chicago, the Landmark buildings on the Zhiyuan International Plaza in Beijing, the wine cellars of Château Lafitte Rotschild, and the Award-winning new International airport in Barcelona. Mr. Ricardo Bofill will enlighten the audience on his strategy to approach new markets, particularly China where he was awarded several projects.

Sponsors for the event are Digimind (www.digimind-corp.com), Factiva (www.factiva.com), Thomson Scientific (www.thomson.com), Comintell (www.comintell.com) and Denodo Technologies (www.denodo.com).
