Essay Contest for Family Cycling Business Ending on April 15th

Pamela and George Whetzel are looking towards April 15th, with mixed emotions. No, it has nothing to do with taxes. In a few short weeks the Maryland couple will be selecting the winner in an essay contest that will determine the future owner of their beloved bicycling business, C and O Bicycle in Hancock, Maryland. Weve worked hard and built a business that were proud of." says George, Now its time to relax a bit and enjoy life." Knowing that the business will continue in the hands of someone who will love it as much as we have will make it easier to let go."

Hancock, MD (PRWEB) March 17, 2005 -- Pamela and George Whetzel are looking towards April 15th, with mixed emotions.

Situated along the banks of the Potomac River, C and O Bicycle has become a frequent stop for cyclists traveling the canal and Western Maryland Rail Trail, and a well-known fixture in the local community. C and O offers bicycle sales, rentals, and repairs in addition to operating a general store, garden shop, and bunkhouse for overnight hikers and bikers. Weve met people across the country who heard about C and O Bicycle since we announced the contest in December." said Pamela, We'll be doing a lot of reading between now and April 15th."

For an essay and a $250 entry fee, C and O Bicycle is offering the turnkey bicycle sales, service, and rental business, complete with inventory, general store, and bunkhouse, to the entrant who best describes how they would promote bicycling for fun and health; how they would use their experience to help new and experienced cyclists and hikers in need of repair or assistance along the nearly 200 miles of area trails; and how owning the shop would change their lives and be a dream come true. The winning entrant will be picked on April 15th, 2005.
