The new section lists the 14 main UK airports that offer flights to http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/alicante-airport.html and then it goes on to list both the airlines and details of the days and times that the flights are available.

Gary Ingram who owns the site decided to provide the information after being repeatedly frustrated at not knowing who flew from where and on what days.

Normally the travel agents or flights providers only give you the details of the flights that they can earn commission on. This gives the ludicrous situation of asking about flights from say Stansted in London to Alicante and being told that you have to change at Amsterdam or that the only flight available is on a Sunday when Easyjet fly from Stansted to Alicante 3 times per day!

The main problem facing the consumers at the moment is that a lot of information is spread over a large number of websites and although the internet has made life easier and flights are much cheaper it would be nice to know which airlines actually fly to Alicante and from which airports.

There are around seven main scheduled flight providers who have flights to Alicante from the UK. These range from the large national airlines such as British Airways to some lesser know "no frills" airlines.

It is important to remember that there are a large number of tour operators who also offer charter flights from various airports in the UK to Alicante. For example, in addition to those listed above, Britannia Airlines offers regular charter flights from airports such as Norwich, Humberside and Glasgow Prestwick.

With so may flights to Alicante on offer over the summer period it will be virtually impossible from anyone with the right information at their finger tips not to be able to secure the right flight at the right prices.
