Broadband Ports Driving Global DLC/MSAP Market in 2004

-Tellabs is the North America market leader, followed by Alcatel
-Total ports shipped (DSL + DS0) grew by 13 percent to reach 29.6 million during 2004
-DSL ports shipped from DLCs and MSAPs grew 66 percent to reach 6.1 million during 2004
-Huawei led the market in DS0 port shipments, while Marconi led in DSL port shipments
-North America remains the strongest single region, however Asia Pacific led during 4Q04
