American Marketing Association Chapter Announces Marketing for Entrepreneurs Event

Dynamic Entrepreneur and distinguished Professor Dr. Alan L. Carsrud, Executive Director for the Eugenio Pino and Family Global Center for Entrepreneurship at Florida International University, will speak to South Florida marketers about the keys to effective marketing for entrepreneurial ventures. This informative marketing event will explain the critical factors of entrepreneurial marketing to generate awareness and create demand for start-up’s.

This informative marketing event is presented by the South Florida Chapter of the American Marketing Association. It will take place Tuesday, March 22nd at the Westin Hotel, 400 Corporate Drive, just off of Cypress Creek Road by I-95 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from 11:30 to 1:30. Dr. Carsrud has a distinguished history as a practitioner as well as a scholar of entrepreneurship. He has been involved in numerous start-up ventures in food products, biotechnology, professional services, venture capital, electronics, computer software, and People Express Airlines. “We are very pleased to have a speaker like Dr. Carsrud at next month’s event” said AMA Florida President Debbie Nellson of http://www.nellsonconsulting.com. “He has the practical experience as an entrepreneur and leads one of the top educational centers for entrepreneurship in the country.”

Currently, Dr. Alan L. Carsrud is Clinical Professor of Management, Professor of Industrial Engineering and Executive Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Center at Florida International University. Dr. Carsrud has served as Vice-President for both the International Council for Small Business and the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and was on the Board of Directors of the Family Firm Institute.

This lunch event begins with business networking from 11:30-12:00 pm, the program begins at 12:00 pm and ends with questions from the audience and more networking afterwards. The event costs $35 for American Marketing Association members and $45 for non-members who pre-register, and includes lunch.
