Berlin Company is Studying the Hospital Waste Situation in North Turkey

The Berlin based Company ETLog EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH is studying 6 hospitals in the north region Samsun. Furthermore ETLog will train employees of these hospitals in waste management. The client BC Berlin-Consult GmbH would like to im-prove the waste situation in the region Samsun. The Project is financed and supported by the KfW banking group.

(PRWEB) March 20, 2005 -- ETLog EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH will identify which quantity and type of waste is current generated inclusive handling and transport. Afterwards, the necessary improvement planning will be done in cooperation with Turkish authorities and hospitals until the end of March. The bases are the current Turkish waste laws and WHO guidelines. The results will be part of the following training course. The staff of hospitals and public authorities will be trained for one week and will get a certification as a waste specialist and will apply the theory in practice.

The support for the hospitals includes also posters made by ETLog EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH. The hospitals will get posters in Turkish language to inform the staff on the simple steps they can handle and separate hospital waste. After completing the project, participated hospitals will be able to provide qualified contact persons concerning hospital waste and to implement improvements. Target of the Project are to set a waste control systems, to reduce waste, and its costs for the hospitals.
