HowardÂs optimism comes from the response on Idaho AfloatÂs website http://www.idafloat.com where the traffic has been drastically increasing as folks really start planning their summer vacations, family getaways and adventure trips. ÂIt always amazes us how the request for information and bookings go through the roof as soon as the weather starts to warm up around the country Howard says. The website offers a wealth of information about all aspects of whitewater rafting and answers a vast majority of the frequently asked whitewater rafting questions. From what skill level you might be to what sort of gear you should and shouldnÂt bring, to great pictures of the amazing scenery you will see on a rafting trip with Idaho Afloat, http://www.idafloat.com has it all. And a lot of potential rafting clients use it. In the month of March, Howard expects 3,000 to 3,500 different people to check out the info he offers on the site. ÂA lot of folks get on the site and several contact us each day, Jeanne (HowardÂs wife and business partner) and I handle every call and email personally and like it that way. Dealing with people is what we like to doÂ.
As for the river conditions this year Howard is excited. ÂThe Snake River through HellÂs Canyon is drought resistant; it is backed up by three reservoirs and maintains a good river flow all summer long. He goes on to say  We have never cancelled a trip due to lack of water, people planning whitewater trips are smart to be concerned about water levels and pre-season snow pack, but it just isnÂt much of a concern on the rivers we run onÂ. Another thought to consider is that this region gets its best snow fall in March and April each year. Bruce Howard is excited about the increased interest this year; he is excited about good water flow aiding him in providing a great rafting adventure; and he kindly smiles when he reminds you that your cell phone wonÂt work as you are screaming and soaking wet in the middle of the Snake River in HellÂs Canyon.
